Nico Paladini was born in 1949 Empoli (Fi).
Equipped with an energy and vitality that manages
to transfer from his unstoppable activity as
an explorer, climber and speleologist to that of a
painter.
At the end of the Sixties he graduated from the
Art Institute of Siena.
He began his exhibition activity in the early seventies
and in the first half of the eighties he began
also as an advertising graphic designer and fashion
photographer.
In 1987 the exhibition at the La Barcaccia Gallery
in Rome.
In 1988 the collective exhibition at the Galleria Il
Prato dei Miracoli in Pisa and in 1990 took part in
the Premio Italia in Bologna and in Tione (Tn).
And also the personal exhibitions at the La Gradiva
Gallery in Montecatini Terme (Pt), 'La donna
e l'orchidea' (1991) in the Isola de La Reunion
(France) and 'Passaparola' (1992) in Barberino
del Mugello (Fi).
In 1993 the Metropolism movement was presented
in Rome in a major exhibition at the Spazio Flaminio,
by Omar Calabrese, Alberto Abruzzese, Renato
Minore and Valerio Dehò; follow other events of
the movement (Salamandra Gallery of Syracuse)
until the exhibition at the Institute of Culture of
Madrid presented by Achille Bonito Oliva in 1995,
then again at the Young Museum in Revere (Mn)
and in Brussels (Belgium).
Then other personal exhibitions and of the
Metropolism in Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg,
Holland and Italy, up to the Scuderie of
Palazzo Ruspoli in Rome (2012)..
He exhibited in the traveling exhibition '50 pittori
toscani per 50 cantanti toscani' in 12 different exhibition
spaces in Tuscany; is one of the protagonists
of the exhibition 'Sulla strada di Venere' with
an exhibition at Palazzo Malaspina in San Donato
in Poggio (Fi) and at the Terme Tettuccio in Montecatini
Terme (Pt). Follows 'Vuoti a perdere' in
the Sala del Basolato of Fiesole (Fi) and 'As time
goes by' to the Red House of Pontassieve (Fi).
In 2015 'Metropolismo e Dintorni' at Fornace Pasquinucci
in Capraia Fiorentina (Fi).
In 2018 the collective 'Pinocchio al Pinocchio' at
the Casa Culturale of San Miniato Basso (Pi), then
the personal exhibition 'Minoranze silenziose' at
the Arcieri Bitonti museum house in San Mauro
Forte (Mt).
Nico Paladini lives and works in Vinci (Fi).
